Martin J. Wall, DO accepted the position of Medical Director at Welsh Mountain Medical & Dental Center in October of 1999. Dr. Wall, who is Board Certified in Family Medicine, provides family-oriented care to patients of all ages with a special focus on health maintenance, health screenings, and preventive medicine. He is also responsible for coordinating all aspects of patient care with the medical staff.

Dr. Wall earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After receiving his degree, Dr. Wall completed an internship at Connemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, Pa.. He then completed a one-year residency in psychiatry at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, which was followed by a residency in family practice at St. Agnes Medical Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Wall also holds a bachelor's degree in biology from St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia.

Prior to joining WMMDC, Dr. Wall was an associate in family medicine at a medical practice in Mt. Pocono, Pa.

Dr. Wall notes, "Most of the patients I've worked with are very well-informed about their health, and they're eager to take an active role in their health care decisions. I'm excited to be part of a staff that encourages that kind of relationship with the patients."

When Dr. Wall is not at the Center, he enjoys being a family with his wife, Donna, and their two young daughters, learning the ins and outs of home ownership and maintenance, and touring historic properties with Donna.

Dr. Wall and his family reside in Lancaster.
